CT Diagnosis of Endometriosis in the Abdomial Wall after Cesarean Section

Purpose: To study the CT appearances of endometriosis in the abdominal wall after cesarean section so as to improve the ability of it's diagnosis.Materials and Methods: The CT characteristics of 8 cases with endometriosis proved by pathology were analyzed retrospectively.Results: All of 8 cases with endometriosis appeared as a mass with isointensity on CT plain scans, and with homo-or heterogeneous enhancement on CT contrast enhanced scans.The misdiagnosis before operation was in 4 cases.Conclusion: CT can find endometriosis of abdominal wall after cesarean section, but has no any characteristic features. CT diagnosis of endometiosis in the abdaminal wall must be combined with clinical materials.
