Clinical Pathology of Extrauterine Endometrial Stromal Sarcoma

Objective:To investigate clinical pathologic features of extrauterine endometrial stromal sarcoma(ESS).Methods:2 cases with essential extrauterine ESS were retrospectively analyzed by light microscope and immunohistochemistry.Results:With light microscope,2 cases with ESS showed invasive and diffuse oncocytes in round or fusiform shap,with karyokines is less than 10 per 10HPF,stroma with much small vessels.1 of 2 cases complicated with endometriosis.With immunohistochemistry,the vim,CD10,PR and ER was positive,but the EMA,S-100 and LCA was negative in tumors.Conclusion:Extrauterine ESS is infrequent disease.The mophologic and immunohistochemical results indicate the tumor developed from endometriosis and the oncocyte originated from interstitial cell of ectopic endometrium.
