Conventional visual inspection electrocardiogram has always been challenging due to its inefficiency and subjectivity. Hence, an efficient automatic recognition strategy is desired and has become a beneficial endeavour for MI detection. Motivated from MetaFormer, we investigate a MetaFormer-like model that is mainly composed of position perception circular convolution (Per-C) as a new Token Mixer and simple attention mechanism with bi-directional gate recurrent unit (SimAM-BGRU) as a new Channel MLP known as PerC-SimAM-BGRU for automatic MI detection. This architecture not only inherits global feature extraction ability of Transformer but also stretches global-local feature acquisition ability of PerC. Experiment results demonstrate that PerC-SimAM-BGRU acquires 99.4% accuracy than the existing strategies on Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt database, striking a better balance between performance and complexity from the simulation experiment perspective. for ECG signal recognition.
