Clinical analysis of interventional therapy to 128 cases with adenomyosis

Objective To approach the clinical value of interventional therapy for the adenomyosis . Methods The catheters were inserted into balateral uterine artery selectively through the femoral artery using Seldinger technique and then polyvinyl alcohol particles(PVA) and pingyangmycin were injected to embolize bilateral uterine artery absolutely. Results There were 128 cases of adenomyosis in this study and all uterine arteries were embolized successfully. The technical success rate was 100%. After follow-up 6~72moths, dysmenorrheal was complete remission in 80 cases, relieved obviously in 42 cases, partial remission in 6 cases. Twenty one cases were pregnant after therapy and delivered healthy infants. Conclusions Interventional therapy was effect in clinical treatment of adenomyosis.
