Abstract
This is a comment on Sherman, J. W., & Rivers, A. M. (in press). There's nothing social about social priming: Derailing the “train wreck”. Psychological Inquiry. I argue that the replication problems that plagued social psychology were systemic and not limited to social priming. The field's recent methodological metamorphosis was necessary to curtail investigator data analysis effects and rebuild trust in the empirical literature.
