An endometrial lesion of the terminal ileum led to a mechanic ileus following vaginal hysterectomy in the first case. In the second case endometrioid carcinoma developed in an endometriotic lesion of the cul-de-sac 6 years after hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy; during this period the patient had taken conjugated estrogens continuously.

Besonders die extragenitale Endometriose und die maligne Entartung der Endometriose sind dafür verantwortlich. Ein Fall einer stenosierenden Dünndarmendometriose und ein weiterer Fall eines maligne entarteten E.-Herdes in der Scheide, Jahre nach einer Hysterektomie, werden als Beispiele dargestellt und diskutiert.
