Abstract
At present, we believe that sharing the idea of using appropriate metal complexes to stimulate our scientific community to develop a deeper level of knowledge about the antiviral (undiscovered) properties of these compounds could be one appropriate way to combat the pandemic of COVID-19. It is likely that some metal complexes may have potential in the prevention and treatment of COVID-19. In this commentary, we offer significant prospects for the development of metal complexes as SARS-CoV-2 antiviral compounds in response to contain COVID-19; however, we will not cover the treatment outcomes related to these potent compounds.
