Abstract

To investigate the value of detection of serum levels of CA125 and CA19-9 on the differential diagnosis of the pelvic cyst, the serum levels of CA125 and CA19-9 in 166 patients with pelvic tumor were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were divided into four groups according to the pathological type: ovarian benign cyst group(except for ovarian endometriosis cyst);ovarian endometriosis cyst group;inflammatory lesion group and ovarian carcinoma group. The results showed that the serum CA125 level in ovarian carcinoma group compared with other groups was increased dramatically(P0.05),but no significantly difference on serum CA19-9(P0.05).The serum CA125 levels in patients with ovarian endometriosis cyst were higher than that of ovarian benign cyst group(P0.05).The serum CA19-9 levels in patients with ovarian endometriosis cyst compared with inflammatory lesion group were increased(P0.05).Conclusion The combined detection of serum CA 125 and CA 19-9 has clear clinical value in the differential diagnosis of the benign cyst and carcinoma.
