Abstract
Objective:To explore the value of laparoscopy combined with hysteroscopy in diagnosis and treatment of women with infertility. Methods:The results of 500 infertile women receiving hysteroscopy combined with laparoscopy from January 2008 to December 2009 were analyzed retrospectively.Results:445 women were found with pelvic abnormality by hysteroscopy combined with laparoscopy, accounting for 89.0%.The main causes of female infertility were chronic pelvic inflammatory disease(58.6%),polycystic ovary syndrome(18.0%) and endometriosis(14.0%).The proportion of chronic pelvic inflammatory disease in women with secondary infertility was significantly higher than that in women with primary infertility(χ2=8.60,P0.01),while the proportion of polycystic ovary syndrome in women with secondary infertility was significantly lower than that in women with primary infertility(χ2=17.02,P0.01).The major surgical methods were pelvic adhesiolysis, fimbrioplasty and salpingostomy, ovarian drilling and cautery of endometriosis. Conclusion:Laparoscopy combined with hysteroscopy can confirm the causes of female infertility, corresponding minimal invasive surgery can be conducted targeting to the causes of female infertility, the advantages of laparoscopy and hysteroscopy are complementary, which are the optimal methods to diagnose and treat women with infertility induced by pelvic factor.
