This study evaluated vanadium contamination and potential ecological risks in several selected landfills in southeastern Iran. In this study, soil models were collected from dynamic landfills applying a stainless-steel soil auger at a depth of 0-21 cm. Five subsamples were collected from each model site. Control models were taken from areas without manufacturing activity or landfills. Soil models were air dehydrated at room temperature, ground in an agate mortar and pestle and stored in a properly labeled polyethylene bag prior to examination. Vanadium examination was performed applying the FS240AA atomic captivation spectrophotometer and the produced information was examined applying IBM SPSS version 21.0 and Ms-Excel 2007. The average vanadium attentions of the landfills surveyed were found in the subsequent demand: North Lut Landfill> Southern Lut Landfill> Lut Plain Landfill> Central Lut Landfill. Satisfactory possible environmental peril indicators were experimental in Easteren Lut, Lut plains, and North Lut landfills, while the southern Lut landfills had high possible environmental perils rice field. In addition, the contamination index played that all landfills examined were heavily contaminated. Numerical analysis played no important variation in vanadium absorption in the landfills examined (p> 0.06). In addition, there was a strong positive correlation amongst the Lut Plain / Nnewi (r = 0.629), Southern Lut / Nnewi (r = 0.621), and Southern Lut / Central Lut (r = 0.849) landfills. This indicates that the metals found in the landfill have the same source.
