Traditionally, diesel-powered pumps have been widely used for irrigation. However, these pumps are not only costly to operate but also contribute significantly to environmental pollution. Therefore, adopting alternative, eco-friendly technologies is imperative. A viable solution lies in the use of a Hybrid Renewable Energy System, which integrates a photovoltaic (PV) panel, a fuel cell (FC), and a (BESS). This hybrid setup is designed to supply 0.4 kW of single-phase electricity, making it suitable for operating irrigation pumps with capacities of up to 0.5 HP in various weather conditions. The performance of the HRES has been studied under different solar radiation levels and fluctuating load demands, utilising real-time data for both solar availability and power usage. The entire system is managed through a control setup implemented in the LabVIEW environment to ensure efficient energy distribution and system stability.
