Clinical application of myomectomy in gynecology

Abstract
Objective: To investigate clinical application value of myomectomy in gynecological.Methods: clinical informations of 131 patients who were underwent myomectomy were retrospectively analyzed in our hospital from January 2009 to December 2009.The surgical and clinical efficacy of patients were reviewed.Results: 131 patients were given myomectomy,the operations were completed successfully,the success rate was 100%;the number(1 to 97) of fibroids were found in patients,with an average of 5.2 fibroids;diameter of fibroids were 0.5-12.0 cm,the average of 6.8 cm;73 cases of intramural fibroids,10 cases of submucosal myoma,48 cases of subserosal fibroids;operation time in 31-102 min,the average of 46.3 min;blood loss was 50-400 ml,an average of 50.2 ml.There was no one had postoperative wound infection,endometriosis and other postoperative complications;postoperative hospital stay was 5-7 d,an average of 5.8 d.A follow-up with 6 months to all patients,except 2 patients had a recurrence(two tumors were found which the diameter were 0.5 cm and the other was 1.0 cm by B ultrasonic),the other patients recovered well with normal menstrual volume,and the normal life and work did not affected.Conclusion: Myomectomy has a effective treatment of uterine fibroids with a good,clear clean,fewer complications,and don't affect the uterine function,so it is worthy of application in clinic.
