Abstract

This study assessed the feasibility of establishing MAEX (Mangyan Express) Delivery Service, a localized courier business designed to address the logistical and delivery needs of residents in the municipality of Pinamalayan, Oriental Mindoro. Rooted in the growing dependence on digital platforms and the heightened demand for convenient, fast, and affordable delivery services, the research examined the operational, financial, marketing, technical, and socioeconomic viability of the proposed enterprise. The study employed a descriptive-evaluative research design, integrating both quantitative and qualitative methods through survey questionnaires and interviews administered to 385 respondents representing local households and business owners. Findings revealed a strong and sustainable market demand for same-day delivery services, with 99.48% of respondents expressing willingness to use MAEX Delivery Service. Financial projections confirmed profitability and liquidity stability, with a payback period of approximately three years and consistent equity growth within five years of operation. Moreover, the study highlighted the enterprise's socioeconomic relevance, emphasizing its potential to generate employment, promote digital inclusion, and strengthen local economic activity. The analysis concluded that MAEX Delivery Service is feasible, sustainable, and socially responsive to the needs of the local community. It demonstrates that technology-driven and community-based delivery systems can thrive in provincial economies when supported by effective management, affordability, and customer-centered innovation.
