Laparoscopy for infertility due to pelvic factors in 62 cases

Abstract

ve To study the causes of infertility and the value of laparoscopy in diagnosis and treatment. Methods 62 cases of infertility were checked by laparoscopy to find out the cause of infertility. Results The causes of infertility and their incidences were pelvic conglutination (54. 84%), tubal factor ( 48. 39 %), polycystic ovary (19. 35%) , endometriosis (38. 71%) .uterine factor(6. 45%) and unknown causes (9. 68%). 20 cases were induced by single cause,36 cases had more than 2 causes. Conclusion There are many pelvic factors leading to infertility and often exist at the same time. Laparoscopy can be used to diagnose and cure infertility at the same time as a general and systemic tool. It possess merit of microwound and high diagnostic value.
