Abstract

The aim of the study was to evaluate the impact of physiotherapeutic treatment on urinary control of a SUI generated by endometriosis, and its impact on quality of life. It was performed a case study where the volunteer underwent a physiotherapeutic assessment as well as evaluation instruments to measure urine loss and its impact on quality of life before and after the protocol of treatment. Results showed an improvement in urinary control with decreased urine leakage on effort with consequent increase in the strength of the perineal muscles after physiotherapeutic treatment. Positive results were also found in the perception of quality of life and functional with the improvement of disease. Thus, it is suggested that rehabilitation protocols for PFM to treat loss of urine.
