Therefore, this study intends to examine the relationships among curiosity dimensions; joyous exploration, openness to people's ideas and green work engagement through the mediating role of eco learning orientation. Design/methodology/approach –The basketball club employees in the three different Provinces of China are consider the population of the study. Data has been collected through survey forms and analyzed trough Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Findings – The findings reveled that joyous exploration, openness to people's ideas and eco learning orientation are the motivational factors of the green work engagement. The findings further reveled that eco learning orientation mediated the relationships between curiosity dimensions and green work engagement. Originality/value –The study contributes to the existing knowledge by introducing eco learning orientation as a mediator in the relationship between curiosity dimensions and green work engagement. It providing new insights into how employees’ curiosity-driven attitudes can enhance green work engagement efforts. Moreover, by focusing on basketball clubs, the research offers a unique geographical and organizational context that adds value to the broader understanding of green work engagement.
