The progress of study on the relationship between cell adhesion molecules and pelvic endometriosis

Abstract
Cell adhesion molecules are a kind of cytokines that regulating cell-cell and cell-matrix interaction. It plays important roles in infiltration and metastasis of the tumor. Endometriosis is a benign disease,but shed endometrium is thought to attach and spread within the pelvis through specific cell adhesion receptors. Some reseachers have reported that cell adhesion molecules may play importent roles in the development or progression of this disease. There are relationship between cell adhesion molecules expressed diversity and infertility or pelvic adhesion in endometriosis. This report reviewed investigations about the roles of cell adhesion molecules in the pathogenesis of endometriosis.
