Expression and significance of CD_(44v6) and MMP-2 in human endometriosis

Objective:To evaluate CD_(44v6) and MMP-2 expression in endometriosis and entopic endometrium in women with endometriosis and normal endometrium.Methods:CD_(44v6) and MMP-2 expression were examined in endometriosis and entopic endometrium(n=60) and normal endometrium(n=25) by immunohistochemistry.Results:The expression of CD_(44v6) and MMP-2 in endometriosis were higher than those in entopic and normal endometrium(P0.01).The expression of CD_(44v6) and MMP-2 were similar in the last two groups(P0.05).Conclusion:There ware close relationships between CD_(44v6) and MMP-2,which were over expressed in endometriosis tissues.CD_(44v6) and MMP-2 could be involved in the development of endometriosis lesions.
