Abstract
Sonohysterography (SHG) is an established method for detection of polyps, evaluation of submucosal intracavitary fibroids and adhesions as well as abnormal areas of endometrial thickening. This presentation will describe SHG findings for evaluation of punctate cysts both within and adjacent to the endometrium seen in women on selective estrogen receptor modulators (SERMS) Tamoxifen®, and Roloxifene®. The clinical significance of these findings will be discussed. Cystic endometrial atrophy and focal adenomyosis of patients receiving SERMS may the histologic correlate of abnormal sonographic appearances.
