Effect evaluation of uterine artery blockage combined with laparoscopic adenomyoma stripping in the treatment of endometrioma

Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical effect of uterine artery blockage combined with laparoscopic adenomyoma stripping in the treatment of endometrioma. Methods 84 cases of endometrioma admitted in our hospital between September 2014 and February 2016 were randomly divided into observation group and control group. The control group underwent laparoscopic adenomyoma stripping, while the observation group underwent uterine artery blockage combined with laparoscopic adenomyoma stripping. The operation and recurrence of the two groups were observed and analyzed. Results The intraoperative blood loss, postoperative evacuation time in the observation group were significantly better than those in the control group [(89.5±17.6)ml vs.(154.7±25.1)ml, (19.6±5.7)h vs.(25.1±7.3)h; P<0.05]. The postoperative dysmenorrhea score, uterine volume reduction, and recurrence rate in the observation group were significantly better than those in the control group [(2.8±0.9) vs.(3.6±1.2), (46.9±5.5)% vs.(35.1±7.4)%, 2.38% vs.21.43%; P<0.05]. Conclusions Uterine artery blockage combined with laparoscopic adenomyoma stripping in the treatment of endometrioma, contributes to the complete removal of residual adenomyoma tissue to prevent the recurrence, and effective control of intraoperative bleeding, has very positive significance in the early recovery of the patients after surgery.
