Detection of Neutrophil-to-lymphocyte Ratio in Endometriosis and Hysteromyoma

Abstract

Objective:To explore the clinical significance of neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) in endometriosis and hysteromyoma.Methods:102 cases of adenomyosis (adenomyosis group) and 47 cases of endometriosis (endometriosis group), and 80 patients with hysteromyoma (hysteromyoma group), which were confirmed by pathological examination after operation, as well as 72 normal women (control group) in our hospital were enrolled in this study. NLR, leucocyte number, lymphocyte number and CA125, CA199 in serum of all patients before operations were detected and compared with the normal control group. The sensitivity of NLR, CA125 and CA199 in above three diseases was evaluated.Results:Blood NLR level in three diseases were significantly higher than that in control group (P0.05 or P0.01). There was no statistical difference about the sensitivity of NLR in the diagnosis of above there disease (P0.05). The value of CA125 and positive rate in stage Ⅲ and Ⅳ endometriosis were significantly higher than stage Ⅰ and Ⅱ. There was significantly statistical difference (P0.01). However, there was no statistical difference about the value of CA199 and NLR as well as the positive rate in all stages(P0.05).Conclusions:NLR in adenomyosis, endometriosis and hysteromyoma is increased significantly, which reflects that immune suppression is the commonness of these three diseases. There is a certain value to detect blood NLR, CA125 and CA199 in the differential diagnosis of these three diseases.
