Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical features of endometriosis in incisonal scar of abdominal wall, laying the theoretical basis for its clinical diagnosis and treatment.Methods Data of 14 patients with endometriosis in incisonal scar of abdominal wall were analysed retrospectively. The involved area were removed thoroughly by surgery in all patients.Results The diseased region were kermesinus or hyacinthine, and even niger, average diameter was 3.0 cm (range from l.0 cm to 6.0 cm ). 1 year after operation there was no recurrence.Conclusion Surgical thorough removal of affected area is the only definitely effective method for the treatment of endometriosis in incisonal scar of abdominal wall and is the key measure to prevent recurrence after operation.
