Abstract
Objective To establish a nude mouse model of human endometriosis. Methods A minilaparotomy was performed to transplant fresh human endometrial pieces into the peritoneum of nude mice. The mice were killed at d7 and d14 after transplantation to observe the growth of the transplants and removed them to be examined by histopathology. Results The human endometriosis model was successfully established,in which endometrial glands and newly formed blood vessels around the transplants were seen under the microscope. Conclusion A nude mouse model of endometriosis has been successfully established. It may provide an appropriate model for research of early stage endometriosis.
