Desogestrel-ethinylestradio Tablets for preventing endometriosis on cervix after loop electrosurgical excision procedure

Objective: To investigate the effective methods of preventing the occurrence of cervical endometriosis after loop electrosurgical excision procedure.Methods: All the cases were selected from October 2009 to March 2010 in Xuzhou Maternity and Child Health Care Hospital′s Gynecology and Cervical Disease Center.572 cases who had taken Desogestrel-ethinylestradio Tablets for two cycles(two months) after the loop electrosurgical excision procedure were experimental group,982 cases without Desogestrel-ethinylestradio Tablets after the loop electrosurgical excision procedure were control group.The incidence of cervical endometriosis in the two groups were observed.Results: No case of cervical endometriosis were found in the experimental group,whose incidence of cervical endometriosis was significantly lower than the control group(P0.05).Conclusion: After loop electrosurgical excision procedure,taking Desogestrel-ethinylestradio Tablets is an effective method to prevent the occurrence of endometriosis on the cervix.
