Organizational Change and Development during the COVID-19 Pandemic in Automotive Industry

Abstract

The impact of the Corona virus is not only frightening for health, but also has the potential has had a deadly effect on global companies after taking action prevention in China. The corona virus pandemic has made the automotive industry experience significant decrease. PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) also took a strategy to boost sales by providing various conveniences of ownership as well vehicle maintenance. Toyota prepares various programs that can support customer mobility in the form of ease of owning a vehicle, including the program special appreciation for customers in the medical profession.Adjusting to the pandemic conditions, the Toyota company made changes and development in corporate organizations. By maximizing the performance of human resources and natural resources owned and the changes and development of new strategies that are implemented with aim to support the government in efforts to break the chain of transmission of COVID-19 and to keep company sales.
