Abstract

Interventional therapy is an important component of interventional radiology,being widely used in the treatment of diseases of obstetrics and gynecology,including angiographic diagnosis,arterial chemotherapy and(or)embolization.Some benign gynecological diseases,such as uterine fibroids and adenomyosis,can be relatively cured by intervention therapy.Embolotherapy used in curing these diseases,e.g.pregnancy bleeding in special parts,postpartum hemorrhage and uterine arteriovenous fistula,has advantages that traditional surgery doesn't have.Interventional therapy has the advantages of minimal invasion,significant efficacy,mild side effects,quick recovery and easier to accept.Interventional therapy has a wide range of application and development prospect in the field of obstetrics and gynecology.Application of interventional therapy in obstetrics and gynecology were reviewed in this article.
