Abstract

Objective:To investigate the relationship between HIF-1 and COX-2 by detecting their expression in anovulatory dysfunctional uterine bleeding(ADUB).Methods:70 cases of various proliferative endometrial samples of ADUB and 10 normal endometrial samples were chosen. All of the cases were obtained from the second affiliated hospital of HMU.The expression of HIF-1 and COX-2 was detected by using immunohistochemical staining with appropriate antibodies.Results:HIF-1 and COX-2 were positively expressed in the nucleus and plasm of glandular epithelial cells of the endometrium; The positive expression rates of HIF-1 in endometrium of normal and ADUB were respectively 10.00%(1/10) and 42.86%(30 /70),while COX-2 20.00%(2/10) and 67.14%(47/70).There was significant difference in the expression of HIF-1 and COX-2 between ADUB and normal proliferative endometrium(P0.05).There was no significant relationship between Livin and Bax.Conclusions:The expression of HIF-1 and COX-2 is potentized in ADUB.They maybe play roles during the development and progression of ADUB.HIF-1 may be have important function during the angiogenesis of ADUB.COX-2 is related to the inhibition of endometrial glandular cell apoptosis and angiogenesis.
