SUMMARY Endometrial metaplastic ossification is a rare condition andcan be partially explained by a neoformation in theendometrium, with calcium deposition. However, a commonsituation is the previous history of abortion with persistenceof ossicles in the uterine cavity. The endometrial ossificationwas reported in a 31-year-old woman, without previouspregnancy or history of abortion. This patient presenteddysmenorrhea and infertility. Pelvic ultrasonographyshowed a hyperechoic area in the uterine fundus.Histeroscopy was performed and an image suggestive of bonewas seen.
