Participatory budgeting and climate change: a bibliometric analysis

Abstract Climate change is an undeniable and tangible reality with consequences that have gradually become more serious, for this reason, is necessary to find tools to prevent further damage from occurring. In this context that the Participatory Budget fits, which over the last few years, has been commonly used as a tool for mitigating and adapting to climate change. Thereupon, the scope of this study is to carry out a mapping of academic production related to participatory budgeting and climate change. For this purpose, we chose to use bibliometric techniques, using two software: Bliblioshiny by Bibliometrix and Vosviewer, making it possible to analyze citations, co-citations and text of articles obtained from Scopus and Web of Science databases. As for the results, it was possible to observe that despite the imminent need to study the themes, there is a tiny amount of works, indicating that there is still much to be done.
