Abstract

Endometriosis is defined as the prcsence o encloinetrial glancis and stroma outside uterus. Tliis ectopie finding occur in the abdominal wall among 0,03% to 1% of women with prior gynecologic surgery, particularly after cesarcan section. Most frequently, endonietriosis is present as a palpable mass, painfuil cluring menstrual period, near surgical scar. It could minuc other pathologies such as hematomas, granuloinas. inicisional hernias, abscesses and tumors. Wc report the case of a 35 years old woman with a painful mass during nienstruation nearly cesarean scar. The tumor was completely removed and a polipropylen niesh vas placed to repair the abdominal wail defect. It vas identifieci as endometriosis in the anatorno-patologic examination.
