Application Prospects of Gamified Measurement in Evaluating Occupational Delay of Gratification among University Students

Abstract
This paper reviews the prospects of using gamified measurement in evaluating occupational delay of gratification (ODG) among university students. ODG refers to the self-regulation ability where individuals forego immediate satisfaction to achieve higher career goals or greater rewards, which is crucial for career development. Traditional self-assessment questionnaires face issues of introspection inaccuracy and lack of real-world context, particularly pronounced among university students due to their limited work experience. Game-Based Psychological Assessment (GBPA) offers significant advantages by dynamically and realistically evaluating individuals' abilities and behavioral responses through game tasks. This paper explores the current research status of GBPA and its potential in ODG assessment, proposing research ideas such as developing a gamified measurement platform, designing assessment tasks and indicators, incorporating behavioral data analysis, integrating psychological assessment with game feedback, and validating effectiveness through empirical research. These explorations aim to provide a scientific and comprehensive assessment tool for evaluating ODG among university students, promoting their career development.
