Abstract

This project addresses the current situation of women suffering from endometriosis in Ecuador. Many of them are in disadvantaged states compared to the health and labor system due to the social ignorance of the disease. An approach to the cases was carried out to determine the path that these women have had to travel along this condition, taking into account that it will never end. Well, endometriosis is a conical disease that has no cure. By conducting different investigations and interviews we can feel that the situation of these women triggers in a social conflict where there has been no visibility to the disease and much fewer necessary investigations have been made. Even when the figures are alarming within our country, it is still assumed that it is an illness that belongs only to the women union when men have also been harmed in their relationships and their desire to be parents. Interviews were held with different cases and several specialists to learn more about the reality of these women, how is their daily life and the complications they face in their daily lives. Similarly, the opinion of experts has been very useful, because we can understand that the State and public health services have struggled to give them hope in the face of this disease, which although it is not lethal, is martyrdom for many of them. In addition to the violations that can be generated in the workplace. This investigation concluded that endometriosis is still a hidden disease in the country, little known and very little spoken socially, this generates that in the psychological, labor and social field, many women are violated in their rights assuming with guilt or responsibilities that do not compete.
