Abstract
Mammary and endometrial status was examined in 162 female patients with benign ovarian tumors and tumor-like formations. Abnormal changes were found in the brests of 69.1% of the patients, and in the endometrium of 33%. A study of the secretory endometrium in patients with benign ovarian tumors and endometrioid cysts by means of the measurement of estradiol and progesterone receptors, demonstrated definite intracellular changes concerning the transmission of an adequate hormonal signal in endometrial cells, in which with respect to mammary hyperplasia.
