Abstract
Abstract The current telephone communication service mainly uses the call control signaling protocol like SIP and the multimedia dialogue based on SIP ensures high real-time characteristic. However, compared to traditional Web groups, database groups and file system groups, it must be improved in some aspects including system throughput, system response time and fault tolerance. This paper focuses on the load balancing technique which can be used in the SIP server group. First, some load balancing techniques being currently used in some SIP situations are analyzed and compared. Based on it, the paper proposes the novel load balancing method and compares its performance with the previous ones via the experiment which shows that the proposed method outperforms the previous ones with reference to the estimation of load over the service nodes.
