Drawing on conservation of resources theory, data from a sample of four hundred corporate employees were analyzed to examine the effect of leader communication mindfulness on employee followership behavior, wherein the mediating role of relational energy as well as the moderating effects of reciprocal wariness and gratitude trait were assessed. It was found that leader communication mindfulness exerted a significant positive effect on relational energy and on employee followership behavior. Specifically, it was observed that leader communication mindfulness positively stimulated relational energy, which in turn elicited employee followership behavior. Moreover, gratitude trait was found to strengthen both the direct effect of leader communication mindfulness on relational energy and the indirect effect on Employee followership behavior. Conversely, reciprocal wariness was found to weaken these direct and indirect effects. In other words, higher levels of gratitude trait tend to amplify the impact of leader communication mindfulness on employee followership behavior, whereas stronger reciprocal wariness appears to attenuate this impact.
