Abstract
Objective:To study the usefulness of laparoscopic examination and surgery in infertility. Methods: 63 female infertility patients were examined with laparoscope, in which 55 laparoscopic surgeries were performed. Results: 60.3%(38/63) of cases were due to problems of fallopian tubes. The pathological changes caused by pelvic inflammation were as high as 94.7%(36/38) among fallopian tube problems. The other causes were endometriosis polycystic ovary syndrome and ovarian cysts. The according rate of HSG with the findings in the laparoscopic examination of fallopian tube was 71.21%(47/66). The fallopian tube clear rate in postoperation was 99.67%(61.1/30.6%) higher than that in preoperation. Conclusion: laparoscopic examination and surgery are the most effective methods to diagnose and treat female infertility. However, the operation is difficult and expensive. In comparison, HSG is simpler and cheaper and could be used as screen examination before the laparoscopic examination.
