Abstract
To investigate the possible roles of Beta-endorphin(β-EP) and PRL in the aetiology of endometriosis-associated-infertility (EAI). Methods: Blood was drawn from EAI, EMT, tubal factor infertility and normal women during the follicular phase or luteal phase to determine the concentrations of β-EP and prolaction(PRL) and the correlation between β-EP and PRL was analyzed. The concentrations of β-EP and PRL in the blood of EAI and EMT patients are higher(P0 05) than the contrasts regardless of follicular phase and luteal phase. These changes are more obvious (P0 05) in EAI women. There is a significant correlation between the concentration of β-EP and PRL. The secretions of β-EP and PRL are raised in EAI and EMT. β-EP correlates with the secretion of PRL. β-EP and PRL are the possible reasons which result in the EAI.
