Abstract
The Electron Observer Theory (EOT) posits each electron serves as an individual observer and describes the relationships among the observer, the brain, and the observable. By reconciling neural correlates of consciousness with quantum mechanics, EOT explains how electrons within a single neuron can receive conscious information from the brain and affect the body’s macroscopic behavior. It also explains how subjective experience emerges in the brain when the electron in a neuron is detected by neural signals, as well as how this perspective addresses the measurement problem in quantum mechanics. EOT predicts the existence of a single neuron with wide connections that can influence the body’s macroscopic behavior, which requires experimental confirmation to further support the theory.
