Clinical analysis of 336 cases with endometrial polypoid adenomyoma

Objective To investigate the clinical manifestations,diagnosis and treatment options of polypoid adenomyosis of the uterus. Methods Review pathological diagnosis of polypoid adenomyosis of the clinical and pathological data by department of pathology at our hospital from January 2006 to December 2009. Results Endometrial polypoid adenomyosis is a special kind of benign intrauterine lesions,histological into typical polypoid adenomyosis of endometrium and atypical polypoid adenomyosis. Endometrial polypoid adenomyosis have a malignant tendency. The probability of occurrence of malignant in women aged 50 and above with polypoid adenomyosis is higher than in women under 50 years old. Abnor-mal vaginal bleeding and discharge liquid are the main clinical manifestations. Hysteroscopy has an advantage in the diag-nosis and treatment for polypoid adenomyosis of the uterus. Conclusion Although polypoid adenomyosis is not common in clinical practice,however,tend to have malignant rate,malignant rate in elderly patients with polypoid adenomyoma rather than younger. For uterine cavity with occupation or irregular vaginal bleeding,particularly in patients with postmenopausal vaginal bleeding,positive hysteroscopic examination and pathological examination should be done.
