AI-generated deep summary by claude@2026-06, 2026-06-10

This paper reports a case of bladder (vesical) endometriosis presenting with cyclic urinary symptoms and pelvic pain, treated with laparoscopic resection. In the described surgical approach, the authors resected extramucosal vesical endometriosis while avoiding partial cystectomy by not resecting the urothelium. The key claim is that this minimally invasive strategy can circumvent urothelial removal in selected patients. This paper is centrally about endometriosis — it describes laparoscopic resection of extramucosal vesical endometriosis without partial cystectomy.

Abstract

Bladder endometriosis is a rare condition that usually presents with cyclic urinary symptoms and pelvic pain. Its treatment generally involves surgery, which is usually done laparoscopically. In this case, we report the resection of vesical endometriosis without resecting the urothelium, thus avoiding partial cystectomy. This is a minimally invasive approach that should be considered in selected patients.
