Abstract

The traditional view that vitamin D is mainly involved in bone metabolism and calcium and phosphorus homeostasis, and bone-related diseases such as osteoporosis related. However, some recent studies have shown that vitamin D plays a key role in obstetrics and gynecology diseases, particularly, endometriosis and ovarian cancer, preeclampsia and gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) in polycystic ovary syndrome influence (PCOS). Advances in vitamin D article and on the relationship between gynecological and obstetrical diseases were reviewed. Key words: vitamin D; vitamin D receptor; obstetrics and gynecology disease
