Establishment of Human Endometriosis Model in Nude Mice

Abstract
Objective; To establish the human endometriosis model. Method; Four nude mice were divided into 2 groups with 2 in each. Group A; a minilaparotomy was performed to place fresh human endometrial samples on the ovary of nude mice. Group B: Inject the human endometrial chipping to the peritonea] cavity of nude mice. Sixteen days later, remove the transplants to be examined by microscopy. Results:The human endometriosis model was successful established in group A. Under the microscope we can see the glands of endometrium. By electron microscopy we can see large number of mitochondria and rough endoplasmic reticulum. No endometrium was found in Group B. Conclusion; Surgical transplantation is effective method to establish the human endometriosis model in nude mice.
