Abstract

This paper examines the experiences of EFL lecturers at Al Asyariah Mandar University when they were involved in the design and development of online materials, driven by the author's belief that online learning materials development is an effort to improve the quality of the learning environment. according to the university's new policy on individualized instruction. Students' experiences and satisfaction with creating online materials are used to identify issues that can then be used to provide appropriate professional development support for students. Teachers will have more opportunities to use technology to enhance the learning and teaching of a second or foreign language as the internet and digital technology continue to advance. Any type of technology that is used in education and learning should be carefully considered by educational authorities. It is the aim of this study to find out how EFL students feel about online learning that can be implemented in their classrooms. The paper employs mix method to study the satisfaction of EFL students on online teaching and learning modes. Research findings show that college students generally prefer to use Zoom, Google Classroom, WhatsApp Groups, Padlets for classroom teaching; teaching materials using e-books, blogs, Mangatoon, NovelToon, AnimeTv, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube, movies, and songs, online assessment using Quizziz, Wakelet, and Quizlet. Researchers found that how well technology is integrated into the classroom is strongly influenced by the beliefs, intentions, and perspectives of the teachers who use it. Mixed methods are preferred by teachers with a more traditional view of language education (supporting more traditional methods). As a result, those with more constructivist conceptions of teaching and learning seek dominance in technology based EFL classrooms. The findings of this study can explain how educational authorities can facilitate the use of media and technological innovations in an English as a Second Language context.
