However, there is a dearth of research undertaken on the treatment patterns and clinical care of dengue infections. The study investigates the clinical presentations and frequency of demographic patterns among hospitalized patients. It additionally highlights the prescription patterns and care strategies for the treatment of dengue in hospital settings. The majority of hospitalized patients are under age group 21-30 years, for both dengue fever (DF) and dengue shock syndrome (DSS), representing 33.15% and 50% respectively. Community group-location ‘Dhaka’ accounts for 46.06% of the total dengue fever (DF), while location-‘Outside Dhaka’ for 53.93%, but in the context of dengue shock syndrome(DSS), the latter group comprises 66.67% of total hospitalized patients. The regulation of body fluid is deemed to be a critical component in the overall management of dengue in hospitalized cases. The study shows no significant statistical difference in the length of hospitalization among the types of dengue infection, considering the analysis at 95% confidence interval (p>0.05), but shows an association between demographic factors (age, location) and the length of hospital stay, with multiple R-squared value at 0.2505, F-statistics at 16.71 on 4 and 200 degrees of freedom. The outcomes of this investigation will contribute to a better comprehension of the prevalence data and hospitalization situation of the dengue infection.
