This study analyzes the feasibility of low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite-based Internet connectivity as a solution to reduce the digital divide. It explores the functioning of this technology, its advantages and disadvantages, and evaluates its potential impact on education, research, and disaster response. Through a literature review and analysis of current initiatives, hypotheses are proposed regarding the effectiveness of this technology in improving connectivity in rural areas.
