Abstract
Objective To study the clinical effect of the levonorgestrel-releasing intrauterine system(LNG-IUS) in treatment of adenomyosis dysmenorrhea. Methods The clinical information of 52 patients with adenomyosis in this hospital from October 2009 to January 2012 were chosen and analyzed. All patients were divided into the control group(24 cases) and experiment group(28 cases) according to the treatment method. The experiment group patients were treated by LNG-IUS and the control group patients were treated by gestrinone. After 12 months, the thickness of endometrium and uterine volume of two groups were recorded and compared. Results After 12 months, the thickness of endometrium and uterine volume of two groups were better than that before treatment(P 0.05).The grades of dysmenorrhea in the experiment group were significantly decreased after placed LNG-IUS,and dysmenorrhea symptoms were significantly relieved after placed 3-6 months, the differences were statistical significance(P 0.05).Conclusion LNG-IUS in treatment of adenomyosis dysmenorrhea can quickly decrease the endometrial thickness and uterine volume of patients, and reduce dysmenorrheal. That clinical effect is significant.
