Abstract
Objective To investigate effects of Danazol on gene transcription in experimental rat models and its effects on pathogenesis of endometriosis. Methods Endometriosis model in rats was made using Vernons'method ,we established animal models using rats.Rats with successful models were randomized into untreated group and Danazol group.Normal rats were selected as the control group.Gene transcription of c myc in both eutopic and ectopic endometrium of endometriosis were investigated using semi quantitative RT PCR.Results Transcription of c myc mRNA in eutopic endometrium of untreated group was higher than that of control group(0.29).Transcription of c myc mRNA in ectopic endometrium of untreated group was higher than that of control(0.14).The expression of c myc mRNA in ectopic endometrium was higher than that in eutopic endometrium. There difference in Danazol group was significantly greater than those in untreated group. Conclusion Expression of c myc in ectopic endometrium of endometriosis was higher than that in normal endometrium.Through increasing transcription of c myc,Danazol might increase cellular apoptosis of ectopic endometrium to treat the disease.
