The expansion of these new roles has led nurses to adapt their practice in all settings to meet population needs, and in countries where APN care has been legislated, demand has grown exponentially. Given the evidence of their effectiveness, it is essential to define and evaluate their functions through tools capable of measuring the scope of their practice. Objective: The main objective of this study is to identify how many of the students enrolled in FUDEN’s School of Leadership could meet the practice standards described for APN (Advanced Practice Nursing). Methodology: The research aims to collect data on the scope of advanced practice among students in a leadership school. To do this, the IDREPA scale (Instrument for Role Definition) will be used of the Advanced Practice Nurse, translated and adapted from the Modified Advanced Practice Role Delineation (APRD) tool. An observational, descriptive, and cross-sectional study will be conducted, with the study population consisting of nurses enrolled in the leadership school. Expected Impact: The study aims to determine the prevalence of nurses in Spain who meet the standards of Advanced Practice Nursing (APN) and replicate it in Latin America to expand global knowledge. The results could improve clinical practice, define the professional role, and guide its future implementation. Since there is no regulation for APN in Spain, this analysis is essential for comparing with international models. Additionally, a tool will be validated to assess results and design strategies within the healthcare system.
