Abstract
Objectives: To investigate effects of application of acupuncture combined with medicine on pregnancy outcomes of patients undergoing IVF-ET for endometriosis(EM).Methods: 103 patients undergoing IVF-ET for endometriosis were divided into the acupuncture combined with medicine treatment group(33 patients),the traditional Chinese medicine treatment group(36 patients),and the blank control groups(34 patients). The results in the ovum retrieval number, the rate of fertilization, high grade embryo number and clinical pregnancy rate were compared between the groups. Results: The results in the rate of fertilization, high grade embryo number and clinical pregnancy rate in the acupuncture combined with medicine were significantly higher than those in the blank control group(P10.01;P20.05;P30.05);While the results in the rate of fertilization, high grade embryo number and clinical pregnancy rate in the acupuncture combined with medicine were higher than those in the traditional Chinese medicine treatment group, but the differences had no statcistical significance. There were no significant differences in the ovum retrieval number among the three groups. Conclusion: Application of acupuncture combined with medicine is able to improve the pregnancy outcomes of patients undergoing IVF-ET for EM significantly.
