Crosstalk between LncRNA HAGLR, Autophagy Regulation, and Prognosis in Gastric Cancer: Implications for Therapeutic Strategies

Abstract
Objective: To examine the role of the autophagy-related gene LncRNA HAGLR in gastric cancer (GC) prognosis, co-regulation, and drug sensitivity. Methods RNA sequencing data retrieved from public databases were used to analyze HAGLR expression in GC tissues. Differentially expressed genes associated with HAGLR were screened. Various experiments were conducted to examine the HAGLR's effect on GC cell proliferation, invasion, migration, apoptosis, and drug sensitivity. Results HAGLR was significantly upregulated in GC and correlated with poor prognosis. A total of 265 differentially expressed genes linked to HAGLR were identified, which were primarily involved in nutrient digestion, absorption, and metabolism. Downregulation of HAGLR resulted in inhibition of GC cell proliferation, invasion, and migration, increased apoptosis, and sensitivity to common GC drugs. Conclusion HAGLR influences prognosis, biological process regulation, and drug sensitivity in GC.
